Jonathan Vidamo
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
(Specialized Care for Extraordinary Individuals.)
Jonathan Vidamo is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vidamo Specialized Respiratory Services (VSRS) and a Respiratory Therapist with 20 years of professional experience caring for patients with respiratory and medically complex conditions.
Before founding VSRS, Jonathan built his career working across virtually every major setting in which respiratory therapy is delivered. His experience includes acute-care hospitals, Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs), skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes, residential care homes, home-based care, and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) services.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has worked directly with individuals requiring a broad range of respiratory services, including mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy management, oxygen therapy, airway clearance, suctioning, respiratory treatments, respiratory equipment management, patient and caregiver education, emergency intervention, and transitions between hospital and community-based care.
This breadth of experience gave Jonathan a unique perspective on a recurring problem: individuals with complex respiratory needs can receive excellent care inside a hospital or specialized facility, but maintaining that same level of respiratory support in the community can be significantly more difficult.
That experience became one of the foundations for VSRS.
Jonathan created VSRS to help bridge the gap between clinical respiratory care and everyday life—bringing specialized respiratory expertise into homes, community settings, day programs, appointments, transportation, and other environments where individuals need support.
As CEO, Jonathan leads VSRS by integrating his clinical expertise with organizational strategy and system development. He oversees the design and implementation of clinical programs, Regional Center and healthcare partnerships, operational infrastructure, technology integration, and the expansion of specialized respiratory services across community-based settings.
His philosophy remains grounded in the perspective of a clinician: understand the individual first, understand the clinical need, and then build the appropriate system of support around that person.
“After 20 years in respiratory therapy, I have worked in nearly every environment where respiratory care is provided. VSRS was created to take that experience and build something specifically for individuals who need specialized respiratory support to live safely and participate in their communities.”

Beyond VSRS
Outside of VSRS, Jonathan’s favorite role is simply being a husband and a dad. Much of his free time is centered around his family and finding things they can enjoy and experience together.
He and his children share a love for RC cars, boats, and planes, often spending time together building, collecting, and taking them out for family adventures. He also enjoys building models—especially Gundam—reading comic books and science-fiction books, and collecting retro toys, interests that allow him to stay connected to the things he enjoyed growing up while sharing them with the next generation.
For Jonathan, these hobbies are less about the collections themselves and more about the time spent together—building something at the table, taking an RC car or boat out for the day, or simply sharing an interest with his kids.
Away from work, he values a simple balance: family, shared experiences, and making memories with the people who matter most.
